We are posting this as a desperate warning to all businesses: We hired Mathieu Lefrancois, a one-man operation under the name Florizon Technologies, for PLC/HMI automation work at our Connecticut bakery on October 23rd, 2025. This individual took our money, deliberately sabotaged our equipment, and abandoned the job, resulting in a loss of over $10,000 and significant production damage.

1. The Premeditated Deceit & Abandonment

Lefrancois provided a deceptive estimate of $10,896 (including $3,500 in parts) for a project he claimed would take 3 days, with an option to stay an additional 2 days if necessary.

  • Payment Demanded Upfront: He demanded full payment in advance, a massive red flag we tragically ignored.
  • The Walk-Off: He worked October 23rd and 24th. On October 25th, at 11:30 AM, just halfway through the third day, he collected his tools, told a staff member he was "going to lunch," and vanished. He stopped responding to messages for the next 10 days, leaving the job site abandoned.
  • A Sign of Instability: His only communication was an emotional text message claiming he was "not happy" with progress, a wholly unprofessional excuse for a contractor abandoning a critical industrial job.

2. Sabotage, Negligence, and Incompetence

Lefrancois did not just walk away; he left our facility in a catastrophic condition, worse than when he arrived.

  • Evidence of Sabotage: After he fled, we hired an electrician at 1:30 PM to check the wiring he complained about. The electrician confirmed the control wires were working correctly. However, we also discovered one control cable was intentionally cut in a hidden area, maliciously ensuring the signal would not reach one of the four machines he was supposed to integrate.
  • Extreme Negligence & Water Damage: He left the equipment exposed. A sensitive roof-top air handling unit, containing heating/cooling motherboards, was left with all its covers open. It rained that day, drenching the entire control system and causing severe, demonstrable water damage to critical components.
  • Unusable Wires & Code: He abandoned the job leaving four pieces of production equipment with wiring hanging out of open control cabinet doors, completely inoperable.

3. Financial Malpractice and Overcharging

The technical work he did provide was worthless and financially exploitative.

  • Massive Overcharging: A local, qualified technician confirmed that Lefrancois purchased an obscenely expensive Schneider PLC/HMI system that was thousands of dollars in "overkill" for the project. An alternative, commonly used system could have been obtained for under $1,000 to accomplish the exact same goal.
  • Zero Usability: The replacement technician confirmed that everything Lefrancois had programmed up to that point was unusable and could not be built upon. The Schneider PLC he installed is non-standard for US technicians, making future service nearly impossible.
  • Audacious Counter-Claims: After 10 days, he finally responded only to audaciously blame us, claiming he was not being "helped," that the wires were bad (a lie), and that 3 days was too optimistic—despite the fact he offered two additional days but fled at 11:30 AM on Day 3!

4. The Payment Dispute and Threat

When we sought a refund for the work he abandoned and damaged, he escalated the fraud.

  • Threats of Lawsuit: When our bank reversed the payment due to fraud, Lefrancois immediately threatened to sue us if we did not cancel the reversal, effectively demanding to be paid in full for an abandoned job.
  • Blatant Lie to the Bank: He then disputed the reversal, providing false information to the bank claiming he had completed the work 100%. This is a demonstrable lie, contradicted by photos and videos of the damaged, open control panels he left behind.

Mathieu Lefrancois has shown an egregious lack of integrity, professionalism, and basic competence. We are proceeding with a lawsuit in Quebec and reporting his activities to US Customs and Border Protection for working without proper authorization.
